The Holocaust of Jews and Roma from Dâmbovița, in comics made by students
How many of us know that a camp for Jewish deportees operated in Teiș, Dâmbovița county, or that the Roma from the county were deported to Transnistria and many perished there?
The events of recent years have shown us that the mistakes and abuses of the past can easily be repeated. That is precisely why it is important to remember, it is essential to know, it is decisive to understand.
The National Institute for the Study of the Holocaust in Romania "Elie Wiesel" and the Freedom House Romania Foundation invite you today, September 21, from 5:00 p.m., at the Valahia hotel, in Târgoviște, to remember, to learn, to understand, through words and images.
From at 18:30, the event will continue in the Revolution Square, with the inauguration of the comics exhibition "Images from the past. The Holocaust in Dâmbovița".
