On International Roma Day we celebrate Romani culture, history and language. However, on this day we also remember the need to raise awareness about the problems that Romanian citizens of Roma ethnicity still face.

In this sense, the National Contact Point for Roma continues to support activities at the national and European level in order to combat prejudice and discrimination.

We remind you that the Strategy of the Romanian Government for the Inclusion of Romanian Citizens belonging to the Roma Minority for the period 2022-2027 aims to promote and protect human rights, combat negative attitudes, discrimination and promote their social inclusion.

We thank all Romanian citizens of Roma ethnicity and all collaborators for their valuable contributions to the Roma inclusion process and for the lessons of courage, ambition and patriotism.
