Continuous training among Roma candidates: needs and barriers

The Roma Entrepreneurship Development Association is pleased to invite you to the online seminar "Continuing training among Roma candidates: needs and barriers", which will take place through the platform Zoom, on the date of September 19, 2023, 2:00 p.m.
In a constantly changing world, continuing education is becoming increasingly essential to ensure access to fair opportunities in education and work. However, members of the Roma community face distinct barriers in the process of accessing and participating in continuing education programs. Candidates of Roma ethnicity face situations that limit their employment opportunities and access to training. Moreover, the lack of role models and mentors can be a significant barrier. Statistics show that in many European countries, young Roma face higher school dropout rates and a lack of qualifications needed to integrate into the labor market. This situation increases the risk of poverty and social exclusion. The event brings to the fore the needs, challenges and solutions for the continuous training of Roma candidates.
❗️The seminar aims to discuss these critical aspects, addressing these challenges and identifying innovative solutions to overcome the barriers in the continuous training of Roma candidates by increasing the degree of access to education and continuous training. The event aims to bring together experts, community leaders and continuing education practitioners to discuss and identify effective ways to support Roma candidates in their ongoing development. We will explore the real needs of the community and promote dialogue and collaboration between experts, community leaders and practitioners in the field.
